
Consistent Posts Increase Engagement

Engagement means how likely your customers are to continue past your profile, do they go on to visit your website, call, or make a booking? Posting consistently on your Google Business Profile, sharing events, sales, holiday hours, product examples, staff highlights, etc. anything that shows what your business is about, directly increases customer engagement. Increased engagement creates more calls, more website visits, more bookings, and more customers. When a business updates their profile regularly, it tells customers that the business is actively managed and cares about its quality. It builds confidence because it shows the business is paying attention.

These posts also communicate what your business offers in a way that enhances the listing. For example a pizza shop can highlight weekly specials or limited time deals. A barber can post back to school sales or show recent cuts to help customers know what to expect. The more a business shares, the easier it is for customers to trust them and choose them. Consistent posting keeps your profile alive, relevant, and more appealing to anyone looking your business up.
If I have to choose between two similarly rated landscapers, one who posts a current sale, shows recent examples of their work, and keeps their profile active, and another with no posts and outdated photos, I prefer the one I can see is actively managing the business. Using genuine photos in posts communicates trustworthiness, that your business is really doing what it claims. An active profile communicates that the business is currently operating and customer focused.
